The CSAA has the following membership categories:
Membership: open to professional and civic not-for-profit arts organizations and municipality-sponsored arts events, exhibits and performances. Please see the "Members" menu option to see the categories of arts organizations that qualify for membership.
Associate Membership: Open to arts organizations that are for-profit or which do not fall under the above Membership criteria. Acceptance of applications in this category is at the discretion of the CSAA Board.
Individual Membership: Open to individual professional artists working in the fine arts. Acceptance of applications in this category is at the discretion of the CSAA Board.
A CSAA membership entitles you to:
- Be featured on the CSAA website (a one-time hook-up fee applies)
- Participate in CSAA monthly meetings and workshops
- Listing of events in the monthly Daily Southtown arts calendar
- Attend events and functions organized by the CSAA
- Be featured in CSAA publications and promotional materials
Please note that the CSAA cannot feature school-run student activities for its calendar of events. Educational institutions that present civic or professional arts events in their facilities or auditoriums are eligible for membership.
The geographic location of applying arts organizations and individuals must be within the Chicago Southland region, which consists primarily of southern Cook county and Will county. Denial of membership on the basis of geographic location is at the discretion of the CSAA Board.
